We’re back in action! We’re so excited to share that starting July 2nd, every Friday, Alex Levin Music will be providing live music at The Boiler Room by Crossing Vineyards! The Boiler Room is a gorgeous wine bar located at The Square in Dublin, Pennsylvania. It recently opened on May 28, 2021 and we look forward helping welcome people to the new and historic space.
History of The Boiler Room at Crossing Vineyards
The name for the new wine bar causing buzz on Main Street came from the original purpose of the building! As a matter of fact, The Boiler Room at Crossing Vineyards actually was once the boiler room for the Dublin Pants Factory. Recently, this space was been re-imagined and repurposed into the newest premiere wine bar in Bucks County!
The original Dublin Pants Factory opened in the 1920s. Luckily the owners are honoring the history of the space by keeping the space’s original character and industrial charm. The original boilers, as pictured, weighed several tons and both had to be removed piece by piece!
You can see how the original charm takes centerstage and adds a rustic quality to the revitalized space.
The Boiler Room Today
Today, the full-service wine bar is open after some pandemic-related delays and the community couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to Bucks County! Not to mention, the menu features over 20 Crossing Vineyards wines as well as craft cocktails, local bottled-beers, and a menu of light bites to eat. There is even a special offer on Wine Wednesdays where wine bottles are half price with an order of the Chef’s handmade paste and sauce dish.
Consequently, the interior maintains its historical and rustic charm while adding a taste of the beauty of Crossing Vineyards. Outside is a large patio space that seats 40 guests. There are even two fire pits with Adirondack chairs as well. The Boiler Room is sure to be the perfect summer evening spot guests to enjoy. We’re extremely ecstatic to ring in summer at The Square and The Boiler Room by Crossing Vineyards with live music!
Live Music Starting Friday, July 2nd – Boiler Room at Crossing Vineyards
Like jazz music, the new wine bar is rich with 1920s history. Starting July 2nd, Alex Levin Music’s award-winning roster will play live music for guests looking to kick back at the end of the week. The Friday live music series will kick off with our founder Alex Levin and jazz trumpet player, Fareed Simpson. The jazz duo is sure to pair well with the Crossing Vineyards wine menu. Next Friday, a special guest will join Alex as the live music series continues at The Boiler Room by Crossing Vineyards.
Alex Levin, Jazz Pianist
Originally from Philadelphia, Alex Levin has performed as a band leader and a sideman for the last fifteen years. In Berlin, Germany, where he started his quartet, The Living Room. The band played at numerous clubs and festivals throughout Germany, and gained notoriety for unique interpretations of pop songs. Alex has performed at New York Jazz clubs such as Smalls, Night and Day, Detour, Kavehaz, and Rue B in the East Village, as well as clubs and venues throughout the United States and Europe.
His music has been featured on Public Radio and All About Jazz. A sparkling, swinging band, his trio and bands, The Smoke Rings and Love, Charley, are available for private parties, corporate functions, weddings and receptions. He has performed at The Standard Hotel, The University Club, The Harvard Club, The Williams Club, Columbia University, and venues throughout the Northeast.
Fareed Simpson, Jazz Trumpet
Fareed Simpson is a Philly native, musician, educator, and recording artist. He leads the Fareed Simpson Quartet, and co-leads Brothers.Ink with his brother Kynoebi. Also, Simpson regularly performs with big bands, small groups and salsa bands. Likewise, he has performed with world-renowned musicians, such as Bootsy Collins, Branford Marsalis, Bernard Purdie, Tony Vega, and Randy Brecker.
He has performed at The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in NYC, The 2017 Jazz is Back festival in Croatia; The 2018 AtoJazz festival in Bulgaria; and at the 2016 North Sea Jazz Festival.
